ABOUT HYBRID

The last 15 years have seen unprecedented economic uncertainty for businesses. From the era of zero interest rates and quantitative easing to the seismic shifts caused by deglobalization, COVID-19, surging inflation, record-setting rate increases, and imminent recession, the shocks have come thick and fast. But these are just the tip of the iceberg.

As policymakers and business leaders have grappled with these immediate economic challenges, the looming, existential threats from climate change have not been given the bandwidth in C-suites that they warrant. A net-zero strategy falls well short of future-proofing your business. The extreme weather patterns we're witnessing today are the results of emissions predating the 2008 financial crisis. The impacts of emissions since — and those yet to come — will fundamentally transform your business landscape.

In this complex, crisis-laden world, building a resilient strategy requires a robust, multidimensional framework. Understanding both macroeconomic uncertainties and the impacts of climate change is crucial for your business. Firms that adeptly navigate these dual challenges will emerge as the leaders of tomorrow; those that fail to adapt risk obsolescence.

Founded by Neville and Grant, Hybrid's mission is to help firms chart their way through these economic and climate challenges towards a resilient, sustainable future. How Hybrid can help your business can be found here. Or get in touch with us here.

Neville and Grant met while working at HM Treasury in the late 1990s, helping to design the UK’s economic policy framework. They went on to have highly-successful careers as Chief Economists in the City, Neville at Credit Suisse and Grant at Daiwa Capital Markets. They built reputations for accessible, insightful, and actionable research, and helped their firms navigate the global financial crisis, the euro crisis, Brexit, the pandemic, and its aftermath. Between them they have almost 60 years of experience operating at C-Suite level and advising the world’s largest investors.
